2016 Angels' Dream & Christmas Lighting Ceremony

This festive season is all about the joy of giving and Midori Clark Hotel and Casino has the perfect way to pass on the good faith. We were able to get a hold of Aeta communities - Sitio Haduan, Sitio Babo & Sapang Bato Elementary School.

Angels’ Dream is a charity fund and all about fulfilling the wishes of the unfortunate. As you may know, poverty is rampant here in the Philippines. Around 10.5 million Filipino families consider themselves as poor. Our team have met around 200 Aeta children who lack in school supplies for school, clothes to wear and toys to play and have fun. With Angel’s Dream, our first CSR campaign, we are planning on making their wishes come true by granting their wishes this festive season. We are fortunate and blessed to have food, clothes and shelter and a whole lot more. Midori Clark Hotel and Casino would like to pass on the good faith by providing the lesser fortunate with the basic necessities and a few treats such as toys.

Last November 15, 2016, we brought around 50 Aeta children to Midori Clark Hotel and Casino. They were really happy that they were invited and we, the staff felt blessed with their beautiful smiles. The Aeta children also showcased their talents that day, they sang and danced and everyone was having a good time. Finally, they wrote their wishes and hanged it on our large and well-lit Christmas tree and is up to the staff and guests to fulfill these wishes.

We brought the kids back at Midori Clark Hotel and Casino last December 21, 2016 in order for us to give them their wishes that they have written and placed on the Christmas tree. 2 days prior was our "Gift Giving Day!" and we were so thrilled to see the look on the children's faces when we were able to give them their gifts. Of course what is a gift giving session without our very beloved Santa Claus. We actually had two Santa Claus' to participate in the gift giving for the kids and for the first time we brought our very own Midori's mascot that stunned the crowd and the children gave a thunderous applause. The kids were too excited that they immediately opened their gifts after receiving them from Santa! After the children and our Santa Claus performed their dance number, the kids are brought to Toscana Dining to have lunch.

After lunch, we joined the Aeta kids back to their village. First we visited Sitio Haduan and a swarm of kids came to greet us. They were all filled with smiles as they wait anxiously for their presents. For the kids who were not able to attend the gift giving event at Midori, we brought food and as well as presents. After receiving their gifts, we proceeded to play games with them and giving away more prizes for the winners who participated. This made the kids super excited to join in and play and everyone had a good time.

After Sitio Haduan, we visited Sapang Bato Elementary School. We met with the headmaster of the school as well as the teachers. And again we gave out gifts to the children. One kid actually got a bike for Christmas. You can easily spot his smile from ear to ear! Again we played games, this time the Midori staff are included, which made the games all-around more fun and exciting.

We would like to thank the following for their sponsorship to give gifts to these Aeta children as well as their participation in our cause to alleviate their lives even just a little this Christmas season. Without them this event will not be possible.
