Balik-Eswela CSR Program: A Collaboration of 2 Hospitality Industries inside Clark Freeport, Philippines

June 1, 2017. Midori Clark Hotel and Casino together with Quest Hotel and Conference Center joint forces for a corporate social responsibility project dubbed as "Balik-Eswela". The program aims to give aids to the Aeta students particularly in Haduan Negrito and Sapang Bato Elementary School. Through a combined effort, the two companies were able to provide school supplies to more than 200 students from the two schools.

Midori Clark Hotel and Casino Team were represented by their General Manager, Mr. Vic Chan, Public Affairs Director, Teddy Koh Jr., Asst. Sales and Marketing Manager, Darlene Achumbre, HR Manager, Luvlany Bondoc and EO Secretary Ivy Ting.

Whilst, Quest Mimosa Hotel and Conference Center was headed by their General Manager, Mr. Patrick Beck. Along with Mr. Beck are his staff from EO, HR and Marketing Department.

The team met at Cafe' Midori early morning then proceeded to Sapang Bato Elementary School. They prepared a very short program and extended their appreciation for the efforts of the two hotels.

The two team also encourage the children to participate in some activities in which they got some prizes.

We also have small presents for the teachers who untiringly gave their best efforts to educate these children. In return, the school also presented certificate of appreciation.

After our visit at Sapang Bato, we headed to Sitio Haduan where students waited for us at Gate 14. We were not able to go up the mountains since there was a heavy rain a day before. Thus, the students from Haduan Negrito Elementary School together with their teachers and parents came down to receive our little presents.

It was a very simple act yet so rewarding. We look forward to bigger projects and we encourage other companies inside the Freeport to join us for upcoming activities. Thank you to all the volunteers who spare their time and effort to make this project successful.
