Midori Clark Hotel and Casino: The ASEAN 2017 Experience | Defense Ministers' Welcome Dinner

Midori Clark Hotel and Casino was recently pleased to welcome the delegates from the Association of Southeast Asian Nations, or ASEAN during the period from 23rd to 25th of October 2017.

Being part of the Philippines’ ASEAN chairmanship coincides with a historic milestone event—the 50th anniversary of the Association and the first time of Midori Clark Hotel and Casino to longed-for the ASEAN delegates.

The Preparations

It took more than a quarter for the preparations of the momentous event held at Midori Clark Hotel and Casino. The hotel must be always set with such events but everything we’re planned even up to the single detail of the stay and event. Welcoming the delegates with the Midori way must be a trademark to the delegates that they shall not forget. Daily inspection was held, re-touches of the facilities and amenities were done, security for the whole vicinity was tightened and series of coordination meetings were also made. Major preparations were done specifically for the Defense Ministers Welcome Dinner which was held at the Hotel’s ballroom - Festa hall.

The Midori’s ASEAN experience would have been the Welcome Dinner, here every single detail was planned in accord with the request of the Department of National Defense.

The event coordination was handled by Events and Concepts, the Filipino inspired event set-up was made by Blooms 2710 while the ambiance lights and sounds were from Gig Lights and Sounds. 


Entertainment was also present such as the Pangkat Kawayan who welcomed the delegates at the Hotel Lobby.

Each staff together with the hotel’s General Manager – Vic Chan were present in providing the Midori way of welcoming the delegates.

For Midori Clark Hotel and Casino, “It was an overwhelming experience”. Handling a big event for the first time break a milestone for the whole hotel in which everyone was able to experience such prestigious event. Cooperation and teamwork were proven by the Midori employees and it only proves that Midori Clark Hotel provides service and hospitality beyond borders.
